The owner of Tiramisu Bistro, Seble Isaac, is happy to celebrate the restaurant’s seventh anniversary with a special Thanksgiving dinner for marginalized women and their families.
It’s on Monday Oct. 8 and Isaac has already lined up guests from agencies including the Salvation Army and the Hope Mission. But she’s hoping for a little help from the community to make the night even more special for women who are trying to improve their lives, and those of their children.
To that end, the restaurant is collecting donations for the women and children that will be attending the dinner. Isaac suggests items such as body wash, perfumes, gloves, socks, toiletries, and “anything that you think would make a thoughtful gift,” said Isaac in an email.
For those who drop off a donation between next Monday and Friday during restaurant hours, the staff has a free, freshly roasted coffee to offer as a thank you. Tiramisu Bistro is at 10750 124 St. See the restaurant’s website for hours of operation.
