That time of the year has come around again where outdoor dining is out, and igloo dining is in.
Due to a drop in temperatures, the winter time makes it difficult for restaurant goers to enjoy eating food in the outdoors. However, many restaurants across the state are implementing seasonal igloo dining to give customers a chance to sit outside in the comfort of a warm, large plastic bubble.
Here’s where you can get that experience for yourself.
- Leena’s Place & Leena’s Bartending & Catering located at Cold Springs Country Club in Belchertown offers up one igloo that seats four people, complete with a heater and twinkle lights. The business said it will continue to keep the igloo all year round and provide AC during the summer nights
- The Pour Yard in Quincy offers heated igloos for six to 10 people. Igloo reservations are for 90 minutes, with the last one of the night being for 120 minutes. Customers interested in using igloos must pay a non-refundable deposit of $30 per person. Guests can bring their own music or a dessert if they’re celebrating a special occasion as well.
- Black & White Grille in Spencer has six igloos for outdoor dining. Reservations can be made online or by calling the business. It costs $10 a person and runs until Feb. 7.
- The Mercantile in Worcester said in a release that its “seasonal pop-up invites guests to indulge in a culinary journey as guests can dine and drink under the mesmerizing ambiance of beautifully crafted igloos.” Reservations will be open the first week of December on OpenTable and will be available for the season.
- Riverhouse Weir Village in Taunton has igloos available for customers. More information about them can be found here.
- Lookout Rooftop and Bar in Boston has igloos with a great view of the city. The igloos are based on availability and can sell out quickly if a reservation is not made in time. You can reserve a spot here.
- Tavern In The Square with locations in Burlington and Lowell are offering igloo dining. Up to six guests are allowed per igloo. Reservations can be made here.
- Lock 50 in Worcester has igloos available for guests to enjoy the patio for drinks or full menu service throughout the fall and winter. For Lunch on Fridays and weekend brunch, their patio igloos are seated on a first-come, first-served basis with a 90-minute maximum use per party. No reservation is required but guests can not ensure a spot in the igloos without a reservation. For evening dinner reservations, call 508-379-3400.
- Inn at Hastings Park in Lexington has three INNgloos that seat up to six people for lunch, dinner, Saturday High Tea, Sunday Champagne Brunch, or a private event. A $120 INNgloo fee inclusive of service charge is required at time of the reservation.
- The Tipsy Toboggan in Fall River teased that its igloo dining experience will be available soon. Check its website for more updates.
- Mick Morgan’s in Sharon welcome’s back igloos for the season. It is based on a first come first serve basis.
- Mile Marker One in Gloucester has heated igloos, open for breakfast (weekends only), lunch and dinner. The igloo deck dining is available until April.
