For you coffee lovers out there a new annual event started Saturday.
Locals came to celebrate the community’s coffee culture at The Siouxland Coffee Festival.
Local cafes and coffee vendors shared their love for coffee.
Samples of coffee and treats were available for everyone to try.
Coffee art was also an activity along with live music and a latte art contest.
“It’s just so exciting for coffee culture in Sioux City it’s been a long time coming and to be able to bring all the coffee in the Siouxland area together in one place and get the word out about coffee and educating our customers and spreading the love for coffee it’s just amazing to be here,” says Stacy Orndorff, Owner of Coffee and Nosh.
In order to get into the festival, you need to buy a ticket.
Not only is this a reason for the coffee culture to come together, it’s all for a good cause.
All proceeds raised go to Volunteer Siouxland.
Once you were in, there were plenty of coffee samples to taste and to buy to take home.
“Everybody loves coffee right, I mean whether it’s in the morning, the afternoon, sometimes night, people just come together over coffee it’s not just something you go and do and you walk away, it’s something you have a conversation with something over coffee. You build relationships so it can be sometimes an intimate thing,” says Ryan Martinez, Organizer of Siouxland Coffee Festival.
You can expect the Siouxland Coffee Festival to be back next year and for years to come.
