But there are some that may be better or just as good for you when they are cooked.
That includes tomatoes.
An antioxidant in the fruit actually digests better when cooked.
The same is true of red peppers, broccoli and asparagus.
Experts say you’re also likely to eat more of these vegetables when they are easier to chew.
