They have been called to serve by the First Presidency
The following new temple presidents and matrons have been called to serve by the First Presidency. President and Sister Quero will begin their service in September, and President and Sister Yu will begin when the Urdaneta Philippines Temple is dedicated.
Abrahan Eulogio Quero Pernalete and Alirica Alfonsa Oroño Villasmil de Quero, La Urbina Ward, Caracas Venezuela Palo Verde Stake, called as president and matron of the Caracas Venezuela Temple, succeeding President Luis Verguez Rodríguez and Sister Noris Violeta Silva de Verguez. President Quero is a service mission leader and a former Area Seventy, Venezuela Valencia Mission president, stake president and bishop. A retired attorney and former temple recorder, he was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, to Eulogio Ramon Quero Rojas and Maria Antonia Pernalete Medina de Quero.
Sister Quero is a service mission leader and a former mission president companion, stake Relief Society president, ward Relief Society president, ward Primary presidency and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, to Angel Emiro Oroño and Angela Rita Oroño Villasmil.
Roberto Baylon Yu and Ofelia Garin Manarin Yu, Mangaldan 2nd Ward, Mangaldan Philippines Stake, called as president and matron of the new Urdaneta Philippines Temple. President Yu is a Sunday School teacher and a former stake president, high councilor, bishop and branch president. A Seminaries and Institutes of Religion coordinator, he was born in Dagupan City, Philippines, to Se Ban Yu and Genoveva Rossi Baylon Yu.
Sister Yu is a former ward Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women president and ward Primary president. She was born in Mangaldan, Philippines, to Ireneo Reyes Manarin and Martha Cendaña Garin Manarin.
