Whether you’re having friends over for a full-scale dining experience or simply inviting them back for a charcuterie board and a cocktail, knowing what drinks to serve when entertaining can be fraught territory. Sure, you want to serve something that everyone can enjoy, but you still have to look after the cooking – and your guests. That makes trying to pull off four bespoke cocktails an almost impossible task. That’s why we’ve asked our friends at Gordon’s Gin to come up with one fancy cocktail that will please even the most discerning of palettes. They recommend The Pitcher of Pink, which we like to think of as a pink gin take on a pitcher of sangria. Yes, this can be made in larger quantities and served in a pitcher. Tick, tick and tick.
Created by National Ambassador for Gordon’s Gin and mixologist Krystal Hart, this pink gin sangria is the perfect at-home entertaining drink. Using a combination of pink gin, rosé, soda and ultra fresh grapefruit and lime, it should definitely be on your summer rotation. “Inviting the girls around? Leave the Sauvignon Blanc in the fridge and try the Pitcher of Pink,” Hart says. “Grab the Gordon’s Premium Pink Distilled Gin with fresh ruby red grapefruit juice, chilled rosé wine and Capi Blood Orange Sparkling. Garnish with a splash of colour, slice up a few lime wheels and add some fresh dill. The perfect shared welcome cocktail!”
The Pitcher of Pink
Contains 1 standard drink per serve
- 120mls Gordon’s Premium Pink Distilled Gin
- 60mls (dry) rosé
- 60mls fresh grapefruit juice
- 250mls Capi Blood Orange Soda
- 1 x lime
- 1 x bunch of dill
Cut a lime into slices.
Place inside your shared punch bowl or pitcher.
Add each of your ingredients one at a time and then top with ice.
60mls fresh grapefruit juice
60mls (dry) rosé
250mls Capi Blood Orange Soda
Stir the punch until mixed together and garnish with a healthy sprig of dill.
We recommend serving it in a beautiful glass punch bowl and placing on the table for guests to enjoy. Alternatively, serve in a glass pitcher and prep individual glasses with a slice of lime and a small sprig of dill. Enjoy!
Please drink responsibly.
