A new museum entirely dedicated to all things candy is getting ready to touch down in New York City this summer. Set to stretch over a whopping 30,000 square feet, the Chelsea-based museum is a side project from celebrity-endorsed restaurant and candy store chain Sugar Factory.
According to Eater, the new factory will offer more than fifteen experimental rooms, each with its own theme based around candy, desserts and other sweet stuff. Of course, like any self-respecting museum, the establishment will also contain a section detailing the history of candy.
Some much sought-after pieces, including “the world’s largest gummy bear” in the form of a unicorn will go on display alongside confectionary-inspired murals and artwork. There will also be a full-sized Sugar Factory shop, as well as an outdoor café where you can get your sugar rush on.
Located on Sixth Avenue and West 20th Street, the museum will charge $15 to $25 admission. Following the New York venue, Sugar Factory will open up similar locations in two other US cities, including one in Los Angeles. Keep an eye out!
