Two of the three restaurants are from James Beard Award-winning chefs.
Three Minneapolis restaurants have been named among the best independent, full-service restaurants in the country.
FSR magazine’s Top 50 Independent Restaurants list this year includes Young Joni (no. 9), Spoon and Stable (no. 10) and Red Rabbit (no. 41).
“From coast to coast and spanning various cuisine types, these 50 dining destinations showcase innovative menus, exceptional service, and inviting atmospheres that will impress both seasoned foodies and curious diners alike,” FSR magazine writes.
Young Joni is recognized, in part, for its “globally inspired dishes and inventive pizzas.”
James Beard Award-winning chef Ann Kim founded the American-Korean fusion restaurant in 2016.
Spoon and Stable is also helmed by a James Beard Award-winning chef: Gavin Kaysen.
The French-inspired fine dining establishment opened in 2014 in a historic North Loop building that once housed a horse stable.
FSR magazine praises the restaurant for its “exceptional cuisine and elegant atmosphere.”
Red Rabbit, opened by Luke Shimp in 2016, is noted for its “uncomplicated, authentic Italian dishes paired with craft cocktails and wines.”
Shimp is also the owner of the Red Cow chain of restaurants.
